Juvenile Court is different from the Adult Division of the Criminal Justice system. Its aim is toward rehabilitation over punishment. Still, your son or daughter may be subject to a detention hearing, fines, or even placement in a detention facility. Felony offenses committed as a juvenile are NOT "sealed", despite what you may have heard. Competent counsel is needed at all stages of the Juvenile Court process!
